Eligibility and Duration
The minimum qualification required to enter the CFA Program is a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
Most candidates complete the three levels of the CFA Program in three to four years, taking into account the recommended study time of approximately 300 hours per level.
Requirements for Becoming a CFA Charterholder
To earn the prestigious CFA Charter, candidates must:
- Successfully pass all three levels of the CFA examinations.
- Complete at least 4,000 hours of relevant professional work experience over a minimum period of 36 months.
- Apply for membership of the CFA Institute.
